Education specialists plan and i implement inspections of public education institutions in order  to provide an objective evaluation from where the wider society and decision -makers can be assured that public education institutions achieve and comply in a sustainable manner with the policies, standards and controls defined in legislation and educational policy framework. Importantly, that  t he national and cultural standard s in the educational institutions are of the highest quality.

Specialised Tasks

 

Operational Performance Indicators

Carry out data analysis on educational

institutions in terms of their inputs, operations and performance from multiple sources.

Review and analyze the results of monitoring and evaluation reports for educational institutions.

Develop operational plans for the inspection of educational institutions and determine the requirements for their implementation.

Implementation of Inspection Operations

2.1

Implementati on of the inspection schedule to conduct planned or unannounced visits to educational institutions in accordance with approved methodologies and frameworks, in line with the Ministry's values and directives.

Monitor, analyze and collect evidence against the elements in the inspection framework.

Conduct the necessary observations, interviews and meetings within the scope of inspections.

Monitoring deviations, irregularities and discrepancies in any of the elements of the framework of inspection of educational institutions.

 

 

3.1

 

Writing periodic reports on the results of compliance visits to educational in stitutions based on the outcomes from the visits and analysis of data and evidence. Reporting to relevant bodies within the time frame and approved reporting standards.

 

 

 

  • Number of reports approved.

 

  • Percentage of reports issued within the specified time frame.

 

  • Number of surveys and studies carried out.

 

  • Number of contributions to inspection publications.

 

3.2

Identify violations and deviations in the educational institution and suggest corrective measures and improvement practices.

 

3.3

Preparing the final reports and drawing up strengths, weaknesses and irregularities in complying with policies, standards, specific controls and improvements.

 

 

3.4

Contribute to the preparation and implementation of sur veys and studies related to the inspection department and any similar initiatives at the national level.

 

3.5

Contribute to the preparation of publications issued by the inspection department .

 

 

4.1

Provide suggestions and recommendations for the development of methodologies , tools and mechanisms of practice in the light of application and standard comparisons.

 

 

4.2

Monitoring gaps in the governance frameworks of educational instit utions and providing suggestions to bridge and address the gaps.

  • Percentage of cases closed due to non-conformity.

Development and Improvement

 

4.3

Monitor positive practices and positive experiences in educational institutions that can be mainstreamed.

Monitoring the general development and improvement of the inputs, operations and performance of educational institutions

 

 

 

4.5

To support the inspection department and related parties to monitor cases of non - conformity in educational institutions to ensure that they are closed within the specified time frame.

 

 

5.

Prepare financial efficiency studies to ensure effective use of resources available in educational institutions

  • Number of financial efficiency studies implemented

Carry out any other job related tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience required

Qualifications

  • A university qualification in the fields of education or any similar specialization.
  • At least IELTS 7 Academic for non -native English speakers
  • Maintaining at least a (good) evaluation in the last job evaluation

Experience

  • At least five years’ experience in the field of teaching or management of educational institutions or any similar field and preferably in the field of public education.
  • At least five years’ experience in inspection or accreditation of educational institutions from an accredited institution.
  • At least two years of administrative work preferably in public education.
  • Recent experience and knowledge in the field of education through providing for example training courses, presenting at conferences, writing research papers etc.
  • Various experiences in more than one educational institution for example school, university, nursery, children's center, training center, educational consultancy, etc.
