Early Years Teacher

Early Years English Teachers with teach and will also assist with the development, review and enhancement of the MoE early years teaching and learning resources, assessment tasks and projects. They are expected to make suggestions that will lead to the continuous improvement of early years teaching and learning practices. They will be required to:

Collaborate regularly with team members to share ideas on best practice.

Model and support a learner-centred, hands-on classroom environment that promotes learner engagement and participation.

Plan and facilitate PD sessions in their own school, and possibly in partner schools, to share their success stories.

Plan and deliver the revised MoE Curriculum for early years

NOTE: We cannot recruit those already currently teaching in the UAE

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience in the early years phase (eg ages 2-5).

You must be a native speaker of English and hold a passport from one of the following countries: UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA 

Education Requirements – one of the following combinations is required

CELTA / Cert TESOL with YL Extension (or recognised Level 5 equivalent) + a minimum of 2 years teaching in the Early Years phase

▪ PGCE with Primary or Early Years’ experience


▪ M.Ed in Early Years

▪ First Aid Certificate


Excellent oral and written English essential (IELTS 7 Academic or 7.5 General for non-native English speakers)


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Able to commit to implementing of a teaching and learning initiative with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Understand the importance of active learning and project-based learning.

Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Ability to use technology to support the delivery of the curriculum and enhance children’s learning experiences.

Child-centered approach to teaching with an aptitude to work with Arab children who will learn English as an additional language.

Ability to operate at all levels of employment and to appreciate the ‘bigger picture’.
