Counselling is a professional activity which strengthens interpersonal relationships to enable individuals to develop self-understanding for the purpose of making positive changes in their lives. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing counselling services, particularly in the areas of personal, social and emotional regulation, for all students.
Applicants must have the following education, skills and experience:
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Required Qualifications - Certified/Registered teaching/counselling certification.
2. Preferred Qualifications - Masters or advanced degree in counselling, psychology or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Required Experience
●Minimum of 3 years experience providing a holistic program of developmental, preventive, and intervention services in social/emotional counselling
●Excellent communicator who can make presentations to parents, students and colleagues and has a very good command of written English
●A collaborative team-player used to being an active participant in a group of professionals dedicated to maximizing student achievement and wellbeing
●Realistic, possessed of a good sense of humour, and able to handle stress in an exemplary manner
