We are seeking for a dedicated Career and University Counsellor to deliver exceptional individual and group university, career, and academic guidance. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in global education systems, bilingual proficiency, and strong communication skills. Additional responsibilities include delivering parent programming and building and maintaining relationship with university admission officers. This school provides an education to students from Early Years up to IB DP level from nearly 50 different nationalities. Following the English National Curriculum at Primary and Secondary level, pupils take IGCSE and then IB Diploma examinations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide data-informed individual counselling on university applications, careers, and academic planning aligned with the school’s guidance programme.
• Deliver and develop the Career and University Guidance curriculum through group sessions and classroom teaching.
• Maintain strong knowledge of global university systems and application processes (including the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Asia).
• Lead parent engagement programmes to support understanding of university pathways and career planning.
• Build and maintain relationships with universities, admissions officers, and career organisations, and represent the school at relevant conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support an inclusive, student-centred learning environment and maintain strong communication with students, families, and staff.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and support wider school initiatives, including admissions and marketing related to university and career guidance.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognised institution and a minimum four years of experience in university guidance, admissions, or a related field plus demonstrated expertise in providing career and academic counselling to students. The school are looking for applicants with strong intercultural awareness and the ability to work effectively in an international school environment.
