We are looking for a skilful, caring and innovative Physics teacher who is committed to developing all aspects of the student experience. Academics are important, and impressive exam grades are a non-negotiable - however Science education at this school is about so much more than this. Teachers collaboratively plan and deliver the curriculum so that students have the skills, understandings, and knowledge to apply their learning outside of the classroom and be well-prepared for success at university at beyond. Applicants should have the following education, skills and experience:
- Graduate qualified teacher
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area
- Master’s degree an advantage
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the area for which you are applying
- Successful experience in working with students in the age group you are teaching
- Demonstrated experience in inspiring students in a stimulating learning environment
- Demonstrated experience of using ICT to promote learning
- Previous experience in an international school and familiarity with British education system preferred
- Experience in teaching EAL students preferred
- Ability to analyse student data to support student achievement
- Demonstrated experience in raising achievement and setting challenging targets
- Strong commitment to supporting all aspects of our programme, especially through participating actively in extra-curricular activities, meetings, parent engagement, school events, school trips and excursions, performing duties, and contributing to the life of the school community
Opened in 2012, this academically focused senior high school is located in Suzhou Industrial Park and offers a challenging international curriculum based on the IGCSE and A-Level programmes. Designed for students aged 14 to 19 who plan to pursue higher education overseas, the school provides rigorous academic preparation in English and Mathematics as part of its admissions process.
