The appointed candidate will deliver Chemistry across (I)GCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, including Higher Level classes. While prior experience teaching the IBDP is advantageous, it is not a requirement, as full training and ongoing professional development are provided for teachers who are new to the programme. The role also includes contributing to Key Stage 3 Science. Teachers with the ability to offer a second subject specialism are encouraged to apply. In addition to Chemistry, the department teaches Biology, Physics, and IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science (SEHS). The successful applicant will become part of a strong and collaborative team of subject specialists dedicated not only to securing excellent academic outcomes in Science, but also to fostering curiosity, enthusiasm, and an understanding of the subject’s relevance in the wider world. We are seeking a teacher with outstanding subject knowledge who is equally committed to promoting the growth and development of Science and STEAM across the school, as well as supporting the holistic development of every student.
