This is an outstanding opportunity to assume the position of Chemistry Teacher at a newly built campus in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is a fully co-educational all-through school serving Malaysian and International students from EYFS to Sixth Form. The main responsibilities of the post will include:
teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A Level;
teaching lower secondary science;
assisting with science activities as required;
assisting with the administration of the department;
working as part of a cohesive departmental team and sharing fully in the work of the department;
helping to promote and encourage the study of science at RGSKL.
The school are looking for candidates with the following education, skills and experience:
A UK or Internationally recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
Experience working in a British Secondary School, British International Secondary or with the British curriculum.
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience and be able to demonstrate a high level of subject expertise.
Good knowledge of the subject/s being taught and a good understanding of GCSE/A-level requirements.
Effective classroom management with an ability to manage the class and resources effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students, as well as collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
Competence in assessing student progress, using data to inform teaching, and providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs.
Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
