I find Colombia very safe to live & work, if you maintain & follow certain protocols. Bogotá has its own pro's (diverse array of neighborhoods to accomodate any interest, low cost of living) & con's (traffic & safety issues in some zones) but the thing I have enjoyed the most is learning about the vibrant migrant enclaves that exist in this city (Lebanese, Cuban, Venezuelan). I have also enjoyed the "outside" culture here (ciclovia, parks everywhere, etc.).
