Key duties and responsibilities:
• Plan, resource, and deliver lessons and interventions for identified students and classes.
• Continue to develop and evaluate the impact of the Senior School learning support provision.
• Coordinate with the DUCKS and Junior School Learning Support Teams to ensure consistency and continuity within the College’s learning support provision.
• Coordinate, lead, and monitor the Senior School’s methods of evaluating and developing pedagogy. in relation to students with specific learning needs.
• Oversee the Senior School referral system for students with specific learning needs.
• Ensure effective assessment and tracking practices within the Senior School learning support department, including the writing and reviewing of Learning Support Passports.
• Liaise with external agencies to facilitate assessments and support for students as required.
• Coordinate examinations access arrangements, liaising with Exams Officer and other support functions within the College.
• Lead specific staff professional learning on pedagogical initiatives as appropriate.
• Assist SSLT, as required, with the organisation of staff professional learning days.
• Keep up to date with developments and research in teaching and pedagogy, briefing colleagues as appropriate.
• Work with and support the Senior School Senior Leadership Team to maintain high standards in learning support provision
• Oversee the professional learning for all members of the Senior School learning support department.
• Work in collaboration with the Head of Senior School EAL and the Social and Emotional Counselling Team to ensure full provision for students with learning needs.
• Contribute to the College’s co-curricular programme.
• Contribute to upholding the College’s corporate identity in all publications, internal literature, letters, and external performances.
• Comply with all College, School, departmental and DCI group policies.
