The Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the establishment and development of a new Sixth Form provision as the school grows into a leading all-through institution (Pre-Nursery to Year 13). You will play a pivotal role in creating a vibrant, intellectually ambitious, and nurturing environment for pupils entering Years 12 and 13.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Lead all aspects of Sixth Form life, academic, pastoral, and co-curricular, ensuring a culture of excellence and integrity.
Academics: Oversee academic progress, target setting, and reporting, working closely with the Deputy Head Academic to ensure pupils reach their full potential.
University Pathways: Collaborate with the Head of Futures to provide expert guidance on global university applications (including Oxbridge and Ivy League), ensuring high-quality preparation for life beyond school.
Pastoral Care: Manage and train a team of Sixth Form Tutors to deliver outstanding pastoral support and well-being monitoring.
Curriculum Development: Design and deliver an ambitious programme that integrates academic study with leadership and enrichment opportunities.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with PGCE or equivalent.
Experience: Expert knowledge of delivering GCSEs/IGCSEs and A-levels, with a proven track record in middle leadership.
Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Attributes: A commitment to holistic education, promoting curiosity, confidence, and kindness. International school experience is preferred.
