A leading international boarding school in Asia is seeking an exceptional Head of Senior School to lead its next phase of academic and pastoral development.
This is a rare opportunity for a proven senior leader to shape an 11 to 19 provision that combines high academic ambition with outstanding pastoral care. The role sits at the heart of the leadership team and works closely with the Headmaster to deliver strategic priorities, drive quality, and build a thriving senior school culture.
You will lead and inspire a large team of teachers and middle leaders, setting clear expectations for teaching quality, curriculum delivery and pupil outcomes. You will have full oversight of KS3, IGCSE and A level provision, ensuring coherence, rigour and innovation across the senior years. Strong instructional leadership and the ability to develop Heads of Department are essential.
Beyond academics, you will be deeply involved in pupil wellbeing, safeguarding and boarding life. You will oversee pastoral systems, support effective transitions between key stages, and ensure every pupil is known, challenged and supported. University and careers guidance is a key priority, with a clear focus on successful post school pathways.
The role also carries significant operational and strategic responsibility. You will contribute to staff recruitment, professional development, quality assurance, financial oversight and resource deployment. You will work closely with admissions and marketing, engage confidently with parents, and represent the senior school to external stakeholders when required.
The successful candidate will be an experienced secondary educator with a recognised teaching qualification, substantial leadership experience, and a strong track record in international or high performing schools. Boarding experience and exposure to second language learners are highly valued.
This position begins in August 2026 and offers the chance to make a lasting impact within a well resourced, ambitious international school environment.
