The Head of Senior School will lead a team of educators and specialists by providing a stimulating and nurturing learning environment and carefully structured and thorough
education for boarding pupils aged 11-19 years, and will help ensure that the curriculum is innovative, meets the needs of pupils and is delivered through high quality teaching
and learning that maximises pupils’ academic and pastoral potential. They will be responsible for the development and delivery of the school's mission and values and will be a strategic and supportive member of the leadership team, playing a key role in the continuous success and development of the school as a leading international school. Candidates should meet the following education, skills and experience requirements:
• Holder of bachelor’s degree or higher
• A recognized teaching qualification relevant to Secondary Education
• A further qualification in school leadership and management is advantageous
• Minimum of 6 years of teaching experience, ideally with experience in an international educational setting
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in proven and effective school administration and curriculum leadership and development
• Strong knowledge and/or experience in KS3, IGCSE, and/or A-level curriculum framework
• Experience in a boarding school environment is an asset
• Experience in teaching second language learners
• Excellent Command of English
• Knowledge of and/or experience in the local educational system is an asset
• Evidence of on-going professional learning and development
• Fully understand and comply with the safer recruitment policy of MCC
