A well-established international school in Malaysia, close to Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an experienced Secondary English Key Stage 3 & 4 Teacher for an August 2024 start. Candidates should hold at least a Bachelor's Degree and valid teaching qualification. The school can consider newly qualified teachers for this role. They should have in-depth knowledge of / familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and Wales and, ideally, previous international experience. Teachers who are looking for a more cultural experience and are not looking for a typical expatriate lifestyle tend to be a good fit for this school. The school has a traditional approach to education and is very academic, and as such, looks for these qualities in its teaching staff. Single teachers or married teaching couples without dependants tend to be the best fit for this school in terms of the salary and benefits on offer.

Located in lush, green surroundings at the heart of Cyberjaya, the campus is only a 35-minute drive from central Kuala Lumpur. The school offers a curriculum broadly based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales (in conjunction with Cambridge Assessment International Education) and offer affordable education to children of parents living and working in and around Putrajaya and Cyberjaya.

The school offers a salary with housing allowance plus flights and medical insurance. It would suit single teachers or married teaching couples without dependants as tuition is not provided for staff children.

Regional Info:
Cyberjaya is a small town located in the district of Sepang, Selangor, adjacent to Putrajaya. It is about 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur but is only about a 20 minute drive via the KL-Putrajaya Highway (MLX Highway). At the core of Cyberjaya is a Science Park and the town is home to many international Tech companies. Cyberjaya aspires to be known as the Silicon Valley of Malaysia. Cyberjaya has relatively few facilities compared to other locations, and as such, would suit teachers looking for a quieter life away from the bustle and hustle of KL. Outdoor recreational facilities include fishing at the Lake Gardens, the 3.5 km promenade area, the Sports Arena, basketball, tennis and futsal courts and a football field. For indoor recreational facilities, the Cyberjaya Community Club has futsal, squash and badminton courts, a gymnasium and outdoor basketball and tennis courts, swimming pool, a go-kart circuit and golf driving range. It is a hive of activity, especially after 5.30 pm. There are also a few bars, restaurants and shops. What do people think about Cyberjaya? How I go around Cyberjaya on a weekend:
