We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Deputy Principal of Secondary (Academic) for the 2026–2027 academic year. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and maintaining high academic standards across the Secondary School, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and student achievement. Working closely with the Head of School and the wider leadership team, the Deputy Principal will lead the academic development of the Secondary section and support staff in delivering an engaging and rigorous IB Diploma Programme.

Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
* At least five years of experience in an academic leadership role within a secondary school setting
* Strong understanding of and experience with the IB Diploma Programme
* Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the academic management of the Secondary School under the direction of the Head of School
* Raise standards of teaching and learning, improving student attainment and achievement across all subjects
* Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures that ensure high academic standards and continuous improvement
* Oversee the formulation and execution of annual work plans and development projects for the Secondary School
* Support the professional growth and development of Secondary School staff through mentorship, coaching, and targeted training
* Ensure that all academic programmes comply with the IB and other accrediting bodies’ standards and requirements
* Collect, analyse, and utilise evidence related to teaching and learning to identify strengths and areas for development
* Design and implement feedback systems that promote reflective practice and professional improvement
* Develop and oversee a mentorship programme for faculty seeking additional guidance or support
* Collaborate with the Primary Principal and senior leadership to coordinate timetables, staffing, and curriculum planning
