We are looking to appoint an exceptional and experienced school leader to join our Secondary Senior Leadership Team, providing clear direction, strong leadership, and inspiration across the school community. This pivotal role involves contributing significantly to the day-to-day management of the Secondary School while helping to shape its future academic vision and strategic priorities. As Assistant Headteacher, you will take primary responsibility for Pastoral Care, ensuring the highest standards of student welfare, personal development, and well-being. Working closely with the Assistant Headteachers responsible for Teaching, Learning & Assessment, Sixth Form, and Student Enrichment and Experience, alongside the Head of Secondary, you will be an integral member of the Secondary School Leadership Team. The portfolio includes leading pastoral provision and professional development related to student well-being; line-managing Year Leaders and the school counsellor; overseeing key operational areas such as staff cover, duties, pastoral documentation, behaviour systems and implementation, attendance, House points, and elements of student leadership; and contributing to whole-school strategic priorities including recruitment, induction, and development planning.

The Successful Candidate will possess:
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, HDipEd, or equivalent).
• A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
Compliance with visa requirements for working.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
This is an international school for expatriate children from about 53 different countries from the ages of 2 years old up to 18. They follow the English National Curriculum and a broad curriculum with a wide range of extra curricular activities is delivered by experienced and well-qualified teachers - mostly from the UK, and all with UK curriculum experience. There are also teaching assistants on hand to support teachers and pupils and class sizes are kept small. They have a second, brand new, purpose-built campus which opened in August 2021.
