For the Art and Design Head of Department role, we are seeking someone with a strong background in Graphic Design who also brings a broad understanding of portfolio development, Fine Art, Fashion, and Art History. The department will benefit from a leader who can provide clear guidance, support colleagues effectively, and work confidently with a range of personalities. We are also looking for someone with the enthusiasm and organisational skills to oversee and elevate school-wide exhibitions. I am really enjoying the location of the school - we are v. close to the centre of Shanghai & there is always something exciting happening in the area. (Compared to NZ) the workload is almost halved here. I don't take work home in the evenings or on weekends. I finally have a work-life balance! The positives are the location and the people - I started with a great group of new teachers and we have all become very close.The students are great too, they are very well behaved.
