This growing international school (which opened in January 2015) is located in Guangzhou, in southern China, two hours by train to Hong Kong. They opened initially with just an Early Years and Primary section but due to rapid expansion have expanded to include the middle years. They need a qualified and experienced Primary female PE Teacher to join them in August 2021.

They look for teachers who ideally have IB/inquiry based experience and a strong grounding in child centred teaching who are energetic, adaptable and open minded, exhibiting all aspects of the IB Learner Profile: Inquirers, Thinkers, Risk Takers, Caring, Balanced, Knowledgeable, Communicators, Principled, Open-minded and Reflective. All teaching and learning is based on an inquiry-driven model, starting with play-based learning in the Early Years and moving into project-based learning in Upper Primary and Middle Years.

This is a genuine international school with generous resources, a generous salary and benefits. The apartments are first class and in nice "Western" areas. The bus brings teachers to and from school. and the school also provides annual flights, medical insurance, travel allowance, professional development, end of contract bonus and free tuition at the school for up to two dependent children.

The school is located in Southern China in Guangzhou, the largest city in the Guangdong province. In recent years, the city has developed a more cosmopolitan appearance with new shopping plazas, high rise buildings, a modern metro system and landscaped parks and road sides. It's a busy, lively city but parts of the cities have charm with restored churches, buildings and private residences. Having a major airport and being so close to Hong Kong opens up a world of travel opportunities from short weekend trips to longer treks around Asia in the holidays. Guangzhou really is the perfect place to base yourself in Asia! For more information on China please see http://www.edvectus.com/Content/Documents/china.pdf
