The Opportunity
As Head of Primary, you will be the visible heartbeat of the division, setting academic benchmarks, modelling professional standards, and building a culture where kindness, empathy, energy, and discipline drive success. You will work closely with the School Principal in a strategic, advisory, and operational role that directly impacts students, staff, and families.

What You Will Lead
1.Teaching and Learning (Preschool 3 to Year 6): Lead high-impact, inquiry-based classrooms across homeroom, EAL, and specialist subjects. Ensure consistent planning, assessment, moderation, and reporting.
2.STEAM Initiative: Energise and support the rollout of a new, school-wide STEAM program.
3.Literacy and Core Programs: Align frameworks and approaches that improve literacy and learning outcomes for every child.
4.People and Culture: Build a Primary team focused on children first, performance excellence, mutual respect, and care. Lead staff reviews, identify areas for growth, and coach for improvement.
5.Parent Partnership: Communicate with empathy and cultural awareness. Keep families informed, engaged, and part of the learning journey.
6.Co-curricular Programs: Oversee a vibrant range of CCAs and Primary sports activities and ensure the House System inspires participation and belonging.
7.Operations: Manage the daily educational operations, timetabling, and quality assurance of the Primary School.
8.Marketing and Admissions: Represent the school with warmth and professionalism. Meet families, share your vision, and clearly communicate the school’s differentiators and values.
9.Strategy: Translate the Strategic Plan into clear Primary School action steps. Track progress and contribute meaningfully to future plans.

Your Stakeholders
1.Reports to: School Principal and serves as Acting Principal when required.
2.Direct reports: Deputy Head of Primary, Curriculum Coordinator, Primary Classroom and Specialist Teachers, Primary EAL Teachers, TLAs, and LSAs.
3.Collaborates with: Administration and support staff to ensure efficient, respectful, and well-coordinated operations.

What You Bring
1.Master’s degree in education (minimum)
2.Proven leadership experience in international schools and experience with the Australian or New Zealand curriculums
3.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders
4.Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
5.Strategic mindset balanced with empathy, pragmatism, and cultural awareness
