A private co-educational non for profit bilingual school located in Kuwait. The school is a well established and reputable establishment of enviable accreditation serving a 90% local population of 2100 students from KG to Grade 12 blending the benefits of a bilingual US curriculum with the heritage and values of the Islamic ethos.

Preschool Principal


a) Master’s degree with specialization in early childhood education, administration or related fields.
b) Certification in Educational Administration.
c) Previous experience as a Preschool Principal.
d) International experience working in a bilingual school with a clear understanding of issues involved in living and working in a country other than one’s own, preferred.
e) Academic training and experience in the American or Canadian educational system with at least five years of successful classroom teaching.
f) Experience in improvising the Preschool program of study, preferred.
g) Experience in implementing the principles and current trends in early childhood education, curriculum, staff development, essential elements of instruction and supervision.
h) Knowledge and experience with Reggio Emilia approaches in early childhood education.

I have really enjoyed it so far! There have been a lot of positives. There is so much more to do here than I thought there would be. I guess the thing is that you have to put yourself out there and say yes to everything! Some challenges I think are, obviously, the school culture is totally different to what I'm use to and that's taken some getting used to but I do really, really enjoy the school and the people that I've met.
