This well-established co-educational British International School was established in 1997 and has grown to 3 campuses with students from Nursery to Year 13. The school follows the National Curriculum for England complemented by Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level, as well as the IB Diploma (IBDP). They have students working online in Ukraine and beyond, as well as many physically attending school. Their international curriculum is inquiry based and mirrors the EYFS and National Curriculum in England with IGCSE and ‘A’-Level and IBDP in Secondary.
The school are seeking a committed and professional Early Years specialist to join them in Kyiv as soon as possible and deliver in-person lessons to their extraordinary students, where each day provides a challenging but immensely rewarding opportunity to inspire, shape the future and leave a lasting impact on the minds of the next generation. You will embody a beacon of hope and stability at this pivotal moment of Ukraine’s history, as it endures, recovers, rebuilds and ultimately flourishes. Your teaching will cover the Cambridge Pathway for Early Years Foundation Stage, so you will be using and building your skills and subject knowledge at all levels.
You will have:
Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field, along with a relevant teaching qualification
Experience with online and hybrid teaching methods is advantageous
Minimum of two years of successful teaching experience in Early Childhood Education, ideally with Nursery and Reception age groups
Passion for fostering creativity, inspiring young learners, and developing engaging, high-quality lessons that focus on foundational skills and developmental principles
UK training or experience in a British International school is highly desirable
Understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) frameworks, as well as relevant knowledge of international early childhood education standards
Commitment to progressive teaching methods that encourage exploration, play-based learning, and active engagement
Experience of collaborating with colleagues and parents from diverse backgrounds in an international and intercultural setting
Desire to contribute to our vibrant school life as an active team member

The school will provide a competitive salary and benefits package (contract hours). Accommodation will be provided and the contract will initially be for one year but can be extended by mutual agreement.
Working hours: 183 school days per annum + 15 INSET days. The school operate in EET and so for colleagues in the UK the school day is 06.30-15:00 (08:30-17:00 in Ukraine) including lunch. Contact hours with students will be approx. 26 hours per week.
