We are seeking an experienced and outstanding teacher of Art & Design (Junior School) to join a high-performing and collaborative team.

Duties & Responsibilities
• To uphold the School’s Vision, Mission and Core Values
• To foster, by example, a spirit of academic enquiry for your subject. To maintain links with a subject association
• To contribute to the set for productions
• Teach and demonstrate knowledge, skills and techniques in art and design, including drawing, painting, printing, ceramics, textiles, and food technology.
• Provide instruction by which students develop aesthetic concepts and appreciations and the ability to make qualitative judgments about art and design.
• Know and apply the elements and modern principles of art and design.
• Provide individual and small-group instruction, adapting the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual and artistic abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.
• Instruct students in the proper care and use of tools and equipment
• Evaluate student’s performance and growth in knowledge and aesthetic understandings and prepare progress reports.
• Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the college and/or in self-selected professional growth activities
• Participate in curriculum and other developmental programs, such as establishing art and design as a vibrant part of the College’s co-curricular programme.
• Plan and present art and design displays and exhibitions designed to exhibit students’ work for the school and the community.

Candidates must have:
•At least two years post qualification experience
•Bachelor or above degree
•PGCE or QTS, Teaching License from non-UK countries
