Regional Info

Saudi Arabia is the second largest state in the Arab world and it borders the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf. Petroleum was discovered in 1938, and Saudi is now the largest producer of oil and gas globally. The school is located very close to Bahrain- about an hours drive- which is a very moderate country with an expat-friendly social life that is in many ways a smaller version of Dubai so teachers enjoy the low cost of living in Saudi as well as the bars, clubs and beaches of Bahrain. Location is 1.5 hours drive to Bahrain border with the border crossing taking between 1 to 2 hours depending on traffic with only a short 15 minute drive from the border to the Manama or Juffair. It is also around 1.5 hours drive to the Qatar border although to reach the Doha corniche you then must add another 1.5 hours driving time. Usually the border Qatar border crossing takes 1 hour.
