Your privacy matters to us and we encourage you to read the policy carefully and contact us with any questions or concerns about our privacy practices.

About Us

Edvectus is a recruitment company that matches teachers and school leaders to international education jobs with international schools or international governments. Edvectus provides job matching services, using international work visa and school -specific requirements to recommend suitable jobs for each candidate (you) and we facilitate the job application process with each employer by communicating directly with the international school leaders and their HR teams on your behalf. We provide detailed school information and coaching such as CV/resume recommendations, interview and assessment tips, and guidance on relocation steps such as visa paperwork requirements.   Edvectus does not make hiring decisions nor do we employ teachers or school leaders directly.

What information do we collect?

In order to match you with jobs, Edvectus must collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, nationality,  your work, criminal and educational history.  International employers will also require sensitive personal information such as copies of your passport, criminal record checks and educational documents in order to process working visas and other employment-related procedures, and, depending on the specific relationship with the client, Edvectus may be required to handle this data.

How do we use personal information?

We use your personal data for the following:

  • employment screening
  • providing job matching services
  • account set up and administration
  • delivering marketing and events communication
  • personalisation of content or user experience
  • legal obligations such as Safer Recruitment checks
  • meeting internal audit requirements

What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?

In order to match you to relevant international school jobs, Edvectus, and provide Safer Recruitment checks for our client schools, Edvectus is required to gather and store your personal information.  Working internationally normally requires a foreign work visa, and these visas have specific requirements in terms of educational history, work history, criminal history and nationality.  Edvectus pre-screens our candidates to meet Safer Recruitment / Child Protection checks and foreign visa standards for each country of interest.

You consent is obtained upon registration and application to a job we are advertising, and you can withdraw your consent or update your information through your Candidate Portal or by emailing teacher@edvectus.com and asking for your account to be updated or deleted.    

When do we share personal data?

Edvectus will treat your personal data confidentially.  We will only share it with our international school clients with your express permission, only for the purpose of job finding services. 

Edvectus uses a third-party emailing service for our periodic newsletters, and your name and email address will be shared with them. Your subscription preferences are managed through the Candidate Portal, by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button on any newsletter, or by contacting Edvectus directly at teacher@edvectus.com  

Where do we store and process personal data?

Your data is stored on our professionally-managed secure UK-based servers, and protected by passwords, firewalls and authentication services.  We respect your privacy and will take all reasonable and diligent steps to keep information we hold about you secure and ensure that it is not misused, but we cannot guarantee on-line security.  

How long do we keep your personal data for?

Your data is kept for up to 12 years. You can update your data, withdraw your consent,  and /or delete your account and all associated data through your Candidate Portal, or by contacting Edvectus at teacher@edvectus.com.  Edvectus may keep information longer, at our discretion, if there are Child Protection concerns. 

Your rights in relation to personal data

You have the right to: 

  • access to personal information
  • correct  and delete your personal information
  • withdraw consent  
  • put your account on hold
  • lodging a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office

In order to verify your suitability for our positions, Edvectus will contact you using one or all of the following means: 

  • Telephone (land line or mobile/cell phone) 
  • SMS text
  • Email
  • Messaging services such as Whatsapp

If you do not wish to be contacted by one of the means above please do not enter the details on the registration form. Alternately, you can 'opt out' and change your details at any time through our candidate portal after registration. 

CV Information

If you post your CV details to our database we will, thereafter, submit your information to potential employers or agencies who are advertising vacancies, or whom we think may be interested in your services via our website or other means.

You can and should update us regularly on the content of your CV and other personal information in the Registered User Section.  Please remember that this information is being continuously supplied to us by third parties.  It is your responsibility to ensure that it is accurate and not misleading.

Please let us know if you no longer wish us to publicise your CV or other information and we will then delete it from our system. However, third parties who have previously received your CV may have retained a copy in their own files or databases.  We are not responsible for their attention, use or privacy of your CV in these instances.

Storage of information

Information that you provide or that is obtained by us through your dealings with Edvectus will be held on our computer.  We may use this information as follows:-
for statistical analysis for the purposes of reviewing, developing and improving the services that we offer on the understanding that it will be kept confidential by us;  to administer any services provided to you now or in the future on the understanding that such information will be kept confidential, if we have a duty to do so or if the law allows us to; 

We will take all reasonable steps to keep information we hold about you secure, however, we cannot guarantee security on line.

Data Protection

The use of Curriculum Vitae's ("CV") / Resume and any other personal information supplied to us by you and other users of this site is governed by our "Privacy Policy ". By accepting the Terms and Conditions, you expressly consent to the disclosures of personal data to third parties and to Edvectus's use of your information as detailed in the Privacy Policy .

Data protection Act 1998: Your data will be processed by Edvectus in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998. We acknowledge the rights of individuals offering their data, particularly the sensitive personal information gathered during the recruitment process. Your data will be shared with Edvectus, partner organisations and schools only for recruitment and administrative purposes. In all other cases Edvectus will seek your consent before passing your details onto a third party.

Use of cookies and other technologies

We  use cookies, tracking and similar technologies to store and manage user preferences on our website, and  enable content or otherwise analyse user and usage data.

This website ("the Site") is the property of and operated by Edvectus Limited and is made available to you solely on the Terms and Conditions set out below. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions "Edvectus", "we", "our" and "us" means Edvectus Limited. We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating this posting. You should therefore visit this page periodically to review the current Terms and Conditions.

Your use of the Site

The information and services available on this site are provided only for the purpose of assisting you and other individuals in finding employment and/or to assist employers in recruiting staff. We authorise you to review and download a single copy of the material on this site solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

You agree not to post or transmit on this site inaccurate, incomplete or false information. We accept no responsibility for the content or accuracy of the information that is available or is posted on this Site nor do we make any representations in respect of the contents of this Site as regards the existence or availabilities of any jobs advertised.

Edvectus in its sole discretion shall determine your compliance with the above and shall have the right to delete from the site without prior notice any material that it deems not to comply or to be objectionable for any reason. 

Accuracy of information on the site

Edvectus makes every effort to verify the accuracy of all information presented to our candidates, however, it is the responsibility of each candidate to conduct their own research and independently verify information about the school, job, country and region, through the school website and other sources, before considering a serious application and job acceptance.

Candidates are required to evaluate all aspects of the school and the position being offered to ensure it matches their own desires and aspirations, professional development,  financial needs, cultural and ethos fit etc. Ultimately candidates and schools sign contracts directly with each other, and not with Edvectus, and by so doing each accepts responsibility for their own actions.

Contracts between schools and teachers vary considerably by country and by school. Edvectus consultants are not trained legal advisors and candidates needing such advice should seek out the appropriate resources.


Edvectus has taken every care in the preparation of the content of this Site, but to the full extent permissible by law, we disclaim all responsibility for damages or loss howsoever arising, loss of projects, loss of profits, loss of data or consequential or indirect losses arising in contract, tort or otherwise from the use of or inability to use the Site and/or any information or materials appearing on the Site.

You should note that certain links on the Site link to websites (hypertext links) which are not under the control of Edvectus and when you activate any of these you will leave Edvectus’ Site.
